Games
Here’s my current games list and wish list. I up to now have got all my games from eBay and don’t usually spend more than £10 on a game. I’ve not spotted any in charity shops but I don’t have all that much time to go scoring through them all which is why eBay has been my goto.
The games on the Wish Listt tend to either come from me remembering a childhood game or seeing something on /r/ps2. It’s a mix of games I’ve previously owned/played and others where people seem to love them and I never played and fancy trying them myself.
| Title | Cover | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Army Men Air Attack | |
Wish List | Another game from my childhood, loved playing with those green soldiers in real life so a game with them was amazing. |
| Burnout | |
Owned | A game I loved during my childhood. |
| Cars | |
Wish List | Saw mentioned on /r/ps2 and how surprisingly nice the graphics were. This I think is another one that will be a good one for me and my daughter to play when shes old enough. |
| COD 3 | |
Wish List | Never cared for COD games too much especially the online side but would love to try the PS2 versions. |
| COD Big Red One | |
Wish List | Never cared for COD games too much especially the online side but would love to try the PS2 versions. |
| COD Finest Hour | |
Wish List | Never cared for COD games too much especially the online side but would love to try the PS2 versions. |
| Dogs Life | |
Wish List | Saw mentioned on /r/ps2 and people seemed to love it. It’s more likely one for my daughter when she is old enough to play my PS2 with me. |
| Gran Turismo 4 | |
Owned | Came bundled with the PS2 I bought. I’m not generally into racing games but I remember having this one and the graphics being amazing for the time. |
| GTA Liberty City Stories | |
Wish List | Never played but feel like I should since I’ve loved the other GTA games. |
| GTA London | |
Owned | This one I had from my childhood still lying around in the loft. |
| GTA San Andreas | |
Owned | One from my childhood and already played through most of it again now on my current PS2. |
| GTA Vice City | |
Owned | I never had this one as a child so now managed to play through it on my current PS2. It was pretty fun though I think I’ll always prefer San Andreas. |
| Half Life 2 | |
Wish List | Played this on PS2 and PC many times. Fantastic game with super fun mechanics so something I want in my collection again. |
| ICO | |
Owned | Not from my childhood but first played this on my PS3 I got after Uni. A immensely beautiful game like nothing I have ever played before. This was one where I spent more than my usual £10 limit going up to £25 but I do look forward to giving this another play-through. |
| Madagascar | |
Owned | Was specifically looking for something I could play with my daughter at some point and found this. Good film both be and my daughter like so I think will be a nice game for us to play together at some point. |
| Medal of Honor European Assault | |
Owned | Got this one bundled with the PS2 I bought but have yet to play. |
| Medal of Honor Rising Sun | |
Owned | Got this one bundled with the PS2 I bought but have yet to play. |
| Mercenaries | |
Wish List | Played this when I was young and it was pretty fun destroying stuff from what I can remember. |
| Metal Gear Solid | |
Owned | Never played any of the Metal Gear Solid games but watched snippets of friends play. This ones not a PS2 game but I think with this series I should start from the beginning to get all the lore. About halfway through it up to now. |
| Sega Superstars | |
Owned | Came bundled with the PS2 I bought. I will admit I have not real intention of playing this one, too many other good games I want to play first. |
| Silent Hill 2 | |
Wish List | Never played this and looking on eBay it may be a while before I find one at my usual £10 price. |
| Simpsons Hit & Run | |
Owned | Never played this before despite being a massive Simpsons fan. |
| Sims 2 Castaway | |
Owned | My wife loves The Sims and when I got my PS2 she told me of a Sims game she knew for it (though had never played). We played a bit together which was a good little bit of fun. |
| Spongebob and Friends Unite | |
Owned | Got this one in a bundle when I got Battle for Bikini Bottom. Not really heard much about it or played it yet so no idea what to expect. |
| Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom | |
Owned | Loved the show as a child so getting the game seemed like a good idea. This was another I saw mentioned on /r/ps2 with good comments so thought I might as well get it. |
| Spongebob The Movie | |
Owned | Got this one in a bundle when I got Battle for Bikini Bottom. It’s meant to pretty good from what I’ve seen on /r/ps2 so will give it a play at some point I’m sure. |
| Starwars Battlefront II | |
Wish List | Never played this but spotted it mentioned a few times as a good game in /r/ps2. |
| Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 | |
Owned | Came bundled with the PS2 I bought. I certainly have no real intention of playing this one. |
| Timesplitters 2 | |
Owned | This is the game that made me get my current PS2 and rebuild my collection. A friend took me to a retro gaming bar on town and they had the GameCube version available to play. That brought back my childhood memories of putting probably hundreds of hours into it on my PS2 and my desire to do it again. |
| Timesplitters Future Perfect | |
Owned | I certainly love Timesplitters 2 more but I still remember this one being pretty good and liked how it had a bit more of a story mode too. Yet to replay it though but certain I will. |
| Tony Hawk Underground 2 | |
Owned | Another childhood game I wanted to add to my rebuilding of my collection. The soundtrack from this one massively shaped my music tastes as a teen. |
| Warriors | |
Wish List | This was such a cool film when I was a kid, I had the game back then too and it was just as cool. |
